Frequently Asked Questions

IceBath / IceBarrel

How quick and easy is the setup process?

The setup takes about 5 minutes (excluding filling the tub).

The product arrives in two parts: the tub and the Icetubs Engine™️. Simply connect them using the provided connectors. A step-by-step manual is included.

Which electrical connection do I need?

You’ll need a grounded three-prong outlet for 220V. This grounding is essential for safety, directing electrical surges away from devices.

If you’re unsure about your outlet, do not connect your Icetuband consult a local electrician.

How fast can I start using my Icetub?

After rinsing your tub and attaching the Icetubs filter, fill it with fresh water—this typically takes about 20–30 minutes, depending on your hose pressure. Once filled, power on the unit and allow the water to reach your desired temperature. The system cools at an average rate of approximately 3ºC per hour (IceBarrel) or 5°F per hour (IceBath), depending on ambient conditions.

While waiting, install the app, and then you’re ready for your first session!

How do I keep the water fresh?

Our chemical-free ozonator and easy-to-replace filter keep water clean for up to 1 month, depending on usage. Avoid using chlorine or salt solutions, as they can damage the stainless steel.

How often do I need to change the filters?

On average, 1 filter per month is needed, but this varies with usage, weather, and maintenance habits. Check your filter regularly to ensure proper water flow and prevent engine damage. Changing the filter is easy and can be done while the Icetubs Engine™️ is running.

How do I clean my Icetub?

Use a stainless steel cleaner for the interior. Avoid chlorine, salt, or corrosive chemicals, as they can damage the stainless steel and cause rust.

How long does it take to drain and fill up?

Draining and filling times depend on water pressure and whether you use a pump or not. With a hose it takes about 10-15 minutes.

Water Filters

Can I use filters from a different brand?

We recommend using only Icetubs filters, as they are specifically designed to deliver optimal performance with the Icetubs Engine™.

Filters from other brands may not provide the same level of filtration, which could impact water quality and reduce the lifespan of your cooling system.

How often do I need to change my filter?

We recommend changing your filter monthly, or more often if your Icetub is heavily used.

A clean filter is essential for maintaining water flow and ensuring the optimal performance of the Icetubs Engine™. If you notice reduced water flow, it may be time to replace the filter sooner.

AquaFinesse Water Care Treatment

Is AquaFinesse Cleanser safe?

Yes, AquaFinesse cleanser is completely safe. It’s designed to be gentle on both your skin and your Icetub, using a chemical-free formula that effectively maintains water quality without harsh ingredients. It provides a safe and eco-friendly way to keep your water clean and balanced.

Can I use other products to sanitize my water?

We strongly recommend using AquaFinesse, as it’s specifically formulated for Icetubs.

Other products may contain harsh chemicals that can affect the materials of your Icetub or disrupt the water balance. AquaFinesse ensures optimal water quality with minimal effort and without the risk of damage.

How often should I use the AquaFinesse cleanser?

For optimal water quality, we recommend adding AquaFinesse once a week. Based on average use (four sessions per week in an outdoor setting), one bottle lasts approximately three months. Usage may vary depending on factors like frequency and maintenance habits. For best results, follow the product instructions.
