Description
Say goodbye to the hassle of constantly hauling ice to maintain a cold bath. Our advanced chiller effortlessly keeps your ice bath at the perfect temperature, encouraging more consistent and frequent use. Transform your setup into a reliable, iceless cold therapy experience and make the most out of your recovery routine.
Powerful Cooling Performance
Our chiller reaches temperatures as low as the mid-40°F range, and even into the high 30°F range under optimal conditions. While ambient temperatures and sun exposure significantly affect heat load, the chiller is engineered to maintain consistent cooling, even in less-than-ideal conditions, for tubs up to ±100 gallons. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use (excluding freezing environments), it’s a versatile solution for year-round cold therapy.
Energy Efficient
With a cost of approximately $18-$28 per month at $0.12/kWh, the chiller is more energy-efficient than most users expect. The compressor and fan operate only when necessary, reducing power consumption while maintaining your desired water temperature.
Consistent Cold for Better Maintenance
Keeping water consistently cold reduces bacterial growth, minimizing maintenance requirements like water changes and filter cleanings. Running the chiller continuously also lowers the need for high sanitizer levels, keeping water cleaner for longer.
Why Continuous Operation Matters
- Cold water prevents bacteria buildup, reducing slimy walls and maintenance needs.
- Power cycling offers minimal cost savings (~$3–$5/month) but increases water and filter changes, negating overall savings.
- Frequent power cycling causes unnecessary wear and tear on the pump, potentially shortening its lifespan.
Setup Instructions
Ensure your chiller is placed within 3 feet of your tub’s drain. The bottom of the chiller should be at the same level or lower than the bottom of your tub for proper gravity priming. Avoid long tubing runs to ensure optimal pump performance, as the pump cannot self-prime or suction.
