The Nordic Misty Changing Room is a fully enclosed, insulated outdoor module designed to pair directly with Nordic Misty Sauna cabins or function as a standalone structure. Its dark Nordic Thermo-Spruce exterior is weather and UV resistant, while the heat-treated aspen interior keeps the space warm, clean, and comfortable year-round. A glass door and window bring in natural light, and an integrated bench provides seating for changing before or after sauna sessions. Plug-and-play lighting and pre-installed walls make setup straightforward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Installation & Placement

How difficult is sauna assembly?

Thermasol saunas arrive with pre-assembled panels and easy-to-follow instructions. Two people and basic tools can complete installation in a few hours. It’s a straightforward, DIY-friendly process.

For the fully assembled and pre-assembled saunas, you need to have a licensed electrician involved for the installation. In most cases, the sauna structure itself arrives pre-built or largely pre-assembled, but the heater will still need to be professionally wired and connected according to local electrical codes.

Depending on the model, installation generally includes:

  • Placement of the sauna on a proper level surface or foundation
  • Electrical hookup for the sauna heater and controls
  • Final connection and testing of the heater
  • Verifying proper ventilation and safe operating clearances
  • Ensuring the unit is connected to the correct voltage and breaker size

Some larger or fully assembled units may also require equipment or additional labor to place the sauna in the final installation location due to their size and weight.

Once installed and powered correctly, the sauna is ready for normal operation.

What electrical setup do I need?

Heaters must be hardwired by a licensed electrician, typically requiring 220V power. Exact specifications depend on the heater model. Lighting generally runs on a 110V, 15-amp circuit.

Where should I place an outdoor sauna?

Thermasol outdoor saunas are delivered fully assembled. A forklift or crane is required for placement, and a licensed electrician must install the heater.

The path from delivery point to placement site must be clear and accessible for equipment. Saunas should be installed on a firm, level surface with slight runoff for drainage—such as concrete, decking, pavers, or compacted gravel.

Performance & Sauna Experience

How long does it take for the sauna to heat up?

On average, it takes 40–50 minutes to reach 170°F, depending on heater power and outdoor temperature. ThermaSol saunas are designed for consistent, reliable heat. Warm-up time may vary slightly based on size and location.

How should I use a sauna safely?

Start with shorter sessions and lower heat, gradually increasing as you find your comfort level. Alternate heat with cool-down breaks to avoid overheating. Always listen to your body—if it stops feeling comfortable, it’s time to step out.

How much does it cost to run a sauna?

Thermasol saunas use efficient 240V heaters that draw power only when in use. The cost is comparable to running a clothes dryer or electric oven—typically just cents per session. Turning off the sauna when not in use helps conserve energy.

Delivery & Maintenance

How is the sauna delivered?

All indoor and outdoor saunas are delivered via flatbed trailer and require a forklift or crane for unloading and placement due to their size and weight. Manual offloading may not be applicable—please refer to individual sauna product pages for specific handling requirements. Customers will receive a delivery notice in advance to allow time for proper site preparation.

What's the warranty on Thermasol saunas?

Please refer to the Warranty page for full coverage details.

How do I maintain my sauna?

Wipe down benches regularly, vacuum the interior, and clean glass surfaces. Sit on a towel during use and leave the door open afterward to ventilate. Once a year, remove sauna stones, clean the heater cavity, and replace any cracked stones.
